Never a dull moment

We sweated at home until we decided to visit Canal Park. It was comfortable warm, but not overbearing near the water. Also going on today was a dog show lots of people and dogs on Canal Park.

Another laker in the ice

This is for you out-of-town DDP fans. The lake is smooth and glass-like. There is still some ice on the lake. I talked to an Uber driver who said that he knew a tugboat operator who said sonar showed the ice was 18 feet thick in the bay.

This rock sits outside of the window at Caribou Coffee at Mt. Royal Find Food, just of Woodland Avenue. I think the rock type is basalt and is found throughout Duluth.

Life imitating nature

  The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth – UUCD Building on College Street in Duluth has beautiful windows looking out to a natural setting. It’s hard to see in this photo by the window panes are white and imitate the birch trees. The congregation has brought many natural elements inside like trees and a waterfall.
