“Clang, clang, clang went the jolly little trolley.”

Many people who live in Duluth are unaware of the downtown trolley. This afternoon was a lovely afternoon to be downtown. to the left of this photo is a butterfly garden that was emitting a pleasant fragrance. I noticed a couple Monarch Butterflies, but I wasn’t quick enough to capture and image of them. So I heard an electric guitar tuning up. The wind was just enough to keep it comfortable and not too hot. Downtown Duluth is beautiful.

Do you notice the cornerstone with the year on the wall?

First Presbyterian

First Presbyterian Church in downtown Duluth is an historic site. The church is one of Duluth’s most prominent Romanesque buildings. Tiffany stained glass windows are part of the uniqueness of this building. The woodworking in the interior is also fabulous. (I was there to attend a memorial.) Here are some other photos I’ve posted on this blog over the years http://www.duluthdailyphoto.com/first-presbyterian-steeple/, http://www.duluthdailyphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/13-08-15-Steeple.jpg and http://www.duluthdailyphoto.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/2013-June-2-Towers-IMG_3372.jpg
