While we were driving today my husband and I noticed this ATV with a rifle holder or gun boot attached to it. Saturday, Nov. 7 is the opening of Deer hunting and I’m sure this was a party was headed for the north woods to get a headstart on their location. (If you know if the correct term is rifle holder or gun boot, please let me know.
Here is a Column about deering hunting the appeared in the local daily newspaper:
The city of Duluth has put up their Christmas decorations. This deer is atop the Priley Fountain in the Civic Center (The fountain in front of the County Court House). I noticed that the fountain was shut off and covered a few days ago. I think the Deer decorations are classy, but I dread thinking about winter. I’m sure the city put the decorations up now because it’s easier to do while the weather is still good.
My hubby created the Jolly Jack O’Lantern.
A cut zucchini from our garden forms the tongue and the flowers forming the headdress are also from our garden.
In the photo you can see that the flowers are still blooming as we haven’t had a frost to kill them. And you might notice that the grass is wet from rain.
