I was at St. Luke’s Lakeview Building when I noticed this ice-cutter heading out. Later that day six ships sailed into port.

Utility workers were called to downed trees all over Duluth on Monday as 30 mph winds whips through the area.

A fountain of gutter water

I was walking down the street a when fountain of brownish grey water gushed out of the gutter drain and sprayed about 3 feet in the air. It really startled me. What you see above is the aftermath. I was so started and by time I focused my camera the fountain was gone.

Guess that date that the car will sink through the ice

The Lion’s Club parked a car on frozen Cass Lake which is a couple hours west of Duluth. It is a game or fundraiser to guess when the ice will melt and the car will sink into the lake.
