Mural at Woodland Middle School

This mural is at Woodland Middle School. I left all the background in place instead of cropping it out. You can see a “Tobacco Free Zone”  sign as well as the exit sign and cement block wall. It gives you a feel for junior high.

The many faces of art

Duluth has a fair share of hippies, some of them are from Wisconsin. This truck was involved in an art project in Wisconsin called “The Many face of Art.”

Railraod crossing down

Looks like someone had their own idea about stopping for the railroad. This was taken on the industrial peninsula on Port Terminal Road. (I was trying to chase some ships, but couldn’t get close enough to them because of all the fences and security areas.)

Mountain Ash over the Lester River

The Lester River is on the Eastern Edge of Duluth. Today it was the site of the annual Lester River Rendezvous. People enact French Fur trappers and native Americans as well as British officers.  It’s estimated that 13,000 people attended. Dredger

This dredger has been in the harbor for about the past 3 weeks. I noticed it was in use last year at about this time too.
