Very evocative photo. It’s a tight shot, so my imagination fills in the bigger picture: I’m overlooking Lake Superior, crows are cawing, accented by the occasional hoot of an owl. If I try hard I can just hear the near-silent footfalls of a deer nearby, a red squirrel’s chattering on this very evergreen, just below camera level and smoke’s curling out of my cabin’s fireplace chimney. Thanks for the virtual moment.
Hi Everyone, Thanks for commenting.
Carol, On the second story we can see lake Superior, we don’t hear any cows, be there are lots of dear near by and squirrels and chipmunks. And unfortunately on this morning a skunk.
i’m glad you had a mini-vacation in your mind while looking at this photography.
Janette, Thanks for your comment.
Tom, I did ask to join the group. Although I was never a resident of West Duluth. like learning about the history. I don’t know which photos I would add. Did you have some that you would suggest.?
