Bad news, a Gypsy Moth Larva or caterpillar has been spotted in East Hillside.
Urban forester, Judy Gibbs spotted this with some East Hillside tree census volunteers.
The gypsy moth is a leaf-eating insect belong to the butterfly family. It now ranks as one of the most destructive overall pests to trees and shrubs in the U.S. Hopefully we can find the eggs and destroy this pest before it destroys our beautiful trees.
